Hiroi Sekai: The Vast World of Creation
Welcome!
It's good to see you, thanks for visiting!
The name's Thomas, but I've been called everything from "papermario" to "leader" to "hey you there". You've stumbled across my library of works, and now I have you in my grasp. Don't try and leave; I've supercharged the surrounding pages and links to 10,000 amps and it will disintegrate you upon activation.
Good, now that I have your attention, please read ahead. I am the the king of basic knowledge over a larger area of skills, which basically means I know how to do a bunch of things, but don't expect it to turn out nicely. I am striving to gain a respectable understanding of arts overall, such as photography, drawing, computer art, videography, composition, music, and so on. If you are still interested, please continue on down to have a look at my first stabs into creating.
Oh, as for personal likes, I enjoy the concept of happiness, a good cup of tea, an intense game of tennis, a day in playing video games, listening to music, and watching anime of course. It's a shame I can't physically show you many of these.
Welcome to my Photoshop works! Photoshop is something I picked up without any schooling, so be forewarned that I approach creations with a minimalistic approach. If I like how it turns out, that's usually enough for me.
You are welcome to use any of these anywhere, and on the off chance you want something simple made, don't be shy in asking!

As mentioned, another love of mine is music. I do have a deep history of musical experience dating back to playing violin when I was a mere two years old, and since then I've completed Grade 7 in the Royal Conservatory of Music for piano, played a couple years of clarinet as well as trumpet in my high school band, and I am now focusing on getting better at the guitar. When I have sufficient recording equipment, I will hopefully be able to record and upload a few videos for you on here.
As such, this section is in a current state of "COMING SOON".
Writing's a great interest of mine; it's just a great medium for personal expression and the like. I never personally took a writing class in my life and rely on what I've learned from school and reading books to develop a style of my own.
At the moment I've basically done a few reviews and other posts through our blog "Hiroi Sekai", and along with that I've made other little articles for fun and even ran a small writing competition right here on AnimeSuki for a bit (monthly, with 2000 word limit). Please have a look below for a compilation of an archive and some of the pieces that got the most views overall.
You've reached it, the last section of my page. Here is where I've compiled what's left, which is basically personal projects.
If I may first direct your attention to Hiroi Sekai's YouTube channel; this is where our videos are posted. At the moment there's not too much, but there are future plans of making some actual videos with structure.
With that out of the way, the remaining projects and details will be detailed below in spoiler tags. Please have a look if you'd like!
Spoiler for Phoenix Wright: Remnants of the Past:
Phoenix Wright (Ace Attorney) is a series of games that first appeared on the Game Boy Advance in Japan, but was later ported onto the Nintendo DS and continued for its popularity. The games have you control a righteous defense attorney who is unfortunately considered to be a rookie at best. However, this doesn't stop the most complex crimes and clients appearing on his doorstep, and it's your job to put these cases to rest and to earn acquittals for your clients...if they deserve it.
Back when the games were very new, I fell in love with them and decided to start a fanproject of my own. At the time, I had no idea of what the actual project would be, but ambitions were high. It was by coincidence that I found a program called AIGE that had been recently released through the Ace Attorney forum I had frequented. Taking up the programming language from scratch, I learned the basics and began to compose a story for what would be set to become a fully playable fangame. The basic premise was posted online, and luckily many flocked to fill the roles needed for its initiation.
As you can, a trailer was discussed and soon created. This video developed by YouTube user immolove drew in an even larger crowd.
However, many tragedies befell this project to date. Not only were there several basic delays from sudden decreases in free time, but two laptops were drained during production, and only from one were files salvaged. On top of that, the forum where our team met shut down unexpectedly for over an entire year, killing ambition and time. After these occurrences, we reach present day, where a new team has been composed. Whenever there is time, we work hard to get closer and closer to our first goal, which is to release a demo.
The story is entirely written by myself, and unfortunately due to the laptop crash I mentioned earlier, the script had been unsalvagable. As such, it is currently being rewritten from scratch, and it is one MASSIVE script.
Programming is currently being handled mostly by DDRKhat, a user on Court-Records, the Ace Attorney forum. If necessary, I have basic knowledge to assist.
Music production leads to Calum Bowen, a talented composer of music who has done some notable work, like in the iOS game "Up Up Ubi". At the moment, the planned soundtrack is quite large, so we are looking for other talented people for help.
Art is another important part, and deviantART user sikiie is the one fronting this department. Her works are quite wonderful and I would recommend having a look and maybe even commissioning her if you are interested. Our agreement is for the production of character art, a few in-game images and a large collaboration poster. All concepts are composed by myself, and it is sent off in text form to be brought to life by our talented artist. Currently completed works are posted below:
Finally, there are plans to include voice actors. The original series never had fully voiced characters, but there is an idea to have two versions of the game available to the people. The first will allow you to play in the original style with just beeps for text, but the second will be fully voiced and autoscroll, allowing for a more thematic experience. All voice actors send in demos and only the very best are selected. We have actually turned down many more people than accepted at the moment, so it is important to us to pick voices that truly fit the roles.
For the most detailed page of information, please check out the project page right at Hiroi Sekai.
Spoiler for Little Taste of YouTube:
Just a guide I recorded and wrote up for "Rhythm Heaven Fever", a fun game for the Nintendo Wii. Video shows a perfect run of all of the micro games, and this guide shows the basics on how to perfect each game.
Wanna learn how to catch Mew without using a cheating module in the First Generation Pokemon games?
Finally get past Stage 3 of the notoriously difficult Battletoads game on NES!
Spoiler for Drawings!:
My first real drawing. Definitely thought the Eevee/Yui mix was adorable. <3
Just a quick one for my old forum members and AS.
For those of you who played "The World Ends With You".
Hina-love. :3
Who doesn't love Nadeko-chan?
Probably still my most complex sketch to date. Took 3 days and left a ton of smudging. Recently put through Photoshop for some colour.
Surprised I could keep a steady hand after all the laughing from Nichijou.
Izumi's always smiling. Doesn't that thought just put a smile on your face?
Some heavy shading on this one, but somehow there's less smudging.
Quick, but with some colour thrown in. This one is absolutely precious. :3
Lissa from Fire Emblem 3DS. First image is the actual sketch using multiple sketch pencils, followed by a grimoire look I adopted in Photoshop.
Kisaragi Chihaya from THE iDOLM@STER. Original sketch took about 9 hours, then it was put through Photoshop and colourized. Also added a texture effect for the paper.
Hey, thanks for visiting, and be sure to leave a comment if you're curious about anything. Any sorts of constructive criticism and curiosity are welcome, so I hope to hear from you. Cheers! <3
