itachi, jiraiya, danzo and pain all were crucial to the plot in their deaths. asuma was a good death since he wasn't a very large role and his death really boosted the akatsuki's image
kakuzu, sasori and konan were all cool, but not necessary to keep alive really. they should have been replaced with new members imo. I would have just rather seen new characters in akatsuki rather than bringing back the dead, although it has gotten cool as of late
