There's a problem with the subtitle filter in my newest version. If you take a look at your MPlayerOSX.log it probably contains the lines:
Code:
Could not open libavcodec PNG encoder
Couldn't open video filter 'screenshot'.
Not sure what's causing it, though. I'll have to look into it.
