Blame! is Japanese. Though the creator did work on some books published in America (like

One Piece has a lot going for it that other manga doesn't. The most of which is art that isn't generic and a well written story.

1. Nobody said the book 'rapes you mind'.
2. The artist, and this is important, ACTUALLY HAS A GRASP ON HUMAN ANATOMY. And this is a lesson to all you kiddies out there who want to learn how to draw. Tracing Dragonball gets you nowhere.
3. It's violent because it tries to get a feeling across. It's a horror manga. It's not a hold-my-hand kiddie story like you're used to.
What can I add to the list? Naruto, obviously, and Zombie Powder.
