My speculations:
1. This is a parallel world where everyone is their exact opposites
2. Carls/Happy are some type of royal species that seems to be the ruling class in this world. My guess from the way those people acted is that these cat like people rule with the very magic they drain from the other world, and they are probably cruel.
3. Gajeel will find his partner in this world.
4. Mystogan was originally from this world, thus there were two in the original one. Mystogan was the exact opposite.
5. Carles mentions something about betraying wendy/natsu. It would seem that this other world sent in babies to find out those people with dragon magic. For what reason who knows, but obviously for their own benefits.
Love where this anime is going! I will interested to see if some of my predictions are right!
