IMO, Weaboos or Wapanese see Japan as the best country out there. Some even claim that they can learn the Japanese language through watching subbed anime. Some claim they're Otakus whilst only watching mainstream anime. The list goes on and on.

I don't like the use of otaku as positive either. In Japan it'd be like proudly calling yourself Adam Lanza.
