Actually I don't think so, the whole point of the chapter was to show that manager was essentially being ridiculously selfish and didn't want to bother with anyone else outside of her one ideal genius, the one person that could pass her ridiculous tests that only he could pass which would destroy anyone else. She couldn't give a fuck about anyone else, and looking at how this story is hinted at going the MC is that guy, the single genius she was searching for the one she wanted to mold hence why she was giving him all that affection in the lap scene. She will always be his strength means going by her previous statement he is most probably the one.

Most likely she wants revenge/prove a point against someone and using that shining genius of hers as ammunition
