I'm afraid you won't see much of Asuna or Sugu in the new season.Gun Gale focuses heavily on the new character Sinon and her background.But if you like strong female characters with believable backstory you will love Sinon

.If the new season will run for 2 cours they probably will adapt the Mother's Rosario Arc which focuses entirely on Asuna.
