Actually it does, well I'm not exactly sure how it is in the anime yet, but ig it was due to recent revelations and a different perspective on her existence than what she had before. -From what I've read I think the anime does this aswell-albeit a bit differently to say the least.

Quite, but the game heavily implied she knew what happened. Like ppl have said, it's innate, an awakening, etc.-they don't need an instruction manual.
