^ Yep, that's exactly what I thought as well. If Aiwass is the true master of the secrets of magicks then could that mean, rather than being some form of angel, it's actually the ultimate esper that transcended human boundaries?
EDIT: Some Chapter 6 (i.e. chapter 2) info from vol 21. Credit to Observer from OM:
Spoiler for Vol 21 chapter 6 (chapter 2 of the volume):

- She saw the Star of Bethlehem rising, and Touma's on it. Then day turned into night and the full moon rose up, and something with many wings (Misha) showed up. Before Mikoto could do anything Misha cut the jet cleanly in half and Mikoto has to try and land properly. Mikoto used magnetism on a nearby helicopter and used it to slow her fall and landed safely (she's more annoyed that she's now further away from the fortress than before, compared to being attacked).
- Misaka 10777 shows up and points a AK-47 at Mikoto (though with no hostile intentions). #10777 is there "On vacation" after Academy City's non-military personnel in Russia have safely retreated, and is trying to find Touma, so she don't have access to Academy City weapons. #10777 asks whether Mikoto is there on vacation as well while pointing to the Star of Bethlehem above them, and Mikoto can only reply she's not exactly there for work (see coloured pages).
