Chocolate Underground to be Web Anime

The official Japanese homepage for the upcoming Chocolate Underground anime series has formally announced that the show will be produced for online and cel phones distribution. The anime will be co-produced by Production I.G. and Trance Arts (Prince of Tennis, Wellber no Monogatari), based on British author Alex Shearer's novel Bootleg.

Second Himitsu Kessha Taka no Tsume Movie Announced

An official Japanese website announcement has revealed that Himitsu Kessha Taka no Tsume the Movie II: Shimane wa Tottori no Hidarigawa Desu will premier this summer. The Taka no Tsume Flash animation, created almost entirely single-handedly by independent Japanese artist "Frogman," was released as a popular late night TV series and theatrical movie in 2006.

Alternate Versions of Soul Eater to Air

The official Japanese homepage for the upcoming Soul Eater anime television series, based on Atsushi Ohkubo's popular "cool & pop action fantasy" manga, has announced that the program will be broadcast in two different versions. New episodes will air at 6 PM on Monday nights, and each episode will repeat during a late night broadcast featuring additional footage. The Soul Eater TV series will premier on April 7th.
