Thursday is the busiest day of the week for anime fans. There are lots of shows airing today, but this is the one I was most anticipating. The crown jewel. The cherry on the sundae. The beautifully drawn in-character rule 34 artwork for your favorite series. (When this series gets one of those...I'm still on topic, right?)

Spoiler for Softenni 01 - Raising a Racquet: Ohana may be the Kanae Ito "dreamer" character to debut first, but Asuna is the one I feel a stronger connection to. She does what she loves and loves what she does, her head is in the clouds, but the difference is that she lives in a universe that favors that sort of logic. While Xebec also seems to be trying to outshaft Shaft (the animation cues at points suggest a more perverted version of Hidamari Sketch), the actual content suggests a sports-themed Milky Holmes. If you were asked "Which one is the sane one?" among the girls the answer is thus: "There is no sane one." I am going to love this show.
