If Vivio stood up, then no one would blame Nanoha since she would commend her, and we get a cute mommy-Nanoha/Vivio scene.
Then we'd get Marie going...oh? Nanoha's daughter....EH?!? Who's the father!?!?
But if she didn't, we got what we got. Fate pampering and Nanoha saying she's too pamperish.
And we got....oh, their daughter...EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!?!?!?!?
More so than anything else, it was blatantly the NF fanservice of the episode.
