from here on the main story begins, the story might seem fast paced, that's because i don't want to waste time and space on the same scene or minor things, and there is lot of material to cover
i am still searching for the title of series and i would like some suggestions,

Name of this chapter is "Guild"

And please excuse me for grammatical or silly mistakes i am trying to improve, and please leave your thoughts and any kind of criticism is also welcomed

Mage Guild: It is an organisation of mages who use their skills to make a living, they use their skills to carry out the job offered to them by their respective clients.These guilds are watched over by the Counsel of Magi

It has been few months ever since Arwin stepped foot in this land and moves on with his travel,he has lost his way and ends up at an unknown place

“oh, ..what..what happened”,Arwin had recovered from an unconscious state,

” picked you up, when you collapsed at the entrance”said a young woman, who seemed to be waiting for him to come to consciousness,

“um..who are you and where the hell am i?”,he asked as he was gazing around the building and saw many different people
”
My name is Fiora, and you are in the Dragon Nest guild, the guild of city of Isengard and one of the finest in the country”said the pretty young lady with shoulder length blonde hair making bangs on her forehead and cheeks,she was wearing a short black skirt with a brown sleeveless jacket,with a white shirt on the inside with the top button open which gave out little cleavage and black heels in her feet.
“uh..okay...alright, i appreciate your help, but i must move now”,as he started to walk, a terrible noise came from his stomach which filled him with embarrassment in front of the lady,

”before that, could you tell me a place where i..”

”there at the bar desk “, she cut his words in between pointing towards the bar/food section

“thank you”, then he went to the bar desk and got a seat there, with this head still paining little

“Hi i’m Eriana how may i help you”asked the attendant, she was a pretty lady 2 or 3 years older to Arwin,was dressed in long light pink dress,

”i’d like to have some...”another sound came from his stomach, “...whatever you have right now”the attendant smiled at understood what he needed

“alright,i’ll get you something”, she went inside and after a few minutes with a plate full with chunks of turkey meat marinated in spices,few slices of bread and a mug of brandy,

“Are you here to join the guild”, she asked.
“oh please i don’t have a slightest bit of interest in joining a guild, besides i have priorities of my own”
he filled his stomach good and was finally at rest, when he checked his pockets to pay for the food he found them empty, then he remembered that he had finished up all the money he had and was lurking in the streets of Isengard in search of food and money,

“Any problem “ she asked with a smile but this time there was a devilish aura coming from her,she might have figured out that he din’t had the money to pay,” there is another way, you can pay for it, do some work for me, once the job is done you are on your way”

“Alright, what do i have to do”he asked

“i need travel to the city of Tamlar and assassinate this man”, she gave him a photo of man dressed in royal clothes, who seemed to be related to the nobility
“someone like you serving drinks here wants a nobleman dead, gives rise to many questions”,he said
“of which you should be concerned with none”,she said
“fine, but i’ll have another meal after it is done, this job costs more than one meal”he said as he was walking away, he had figured this wasn’t just a plain assassination job.

Two days later.....

Arwin returned to the guild with his unofficial job done, he straight away went to the bar desk and called Eriana,”you tricked me din’t you!”

“What are you talking about?”she asked, even though she knew the answer to that

Two days ago......

The city of Tamlar mostly known for business and trading, where the Duke, Lord Harold and the biggest business of various merchandise, the youngest son of the Duke was in his coming of age and eager to join the family business.

It was morning and the guards were preparing for the young master Harold’s trek for the day, among the guards the Captain Brisk saw an unfamiliar face,

“you there, i haven’t seen you here before, what is your name?”, enquired the captain pointing towards a guard with dark brown hair,

“My name is Saso, sir.I am a new here,today is my first day, i was transferred here from city military department.Here are my transfer orders “the guard handed the captain a couple of papers with the royal seal of military on it,

“alright, now join the lines”ordered the captain.

Arwin had been investigating the Master Harold’s surroundings and his guards, to his luck there was a transfer named Saso, who Arwin had abducted and imprisoned him at a safe house somewhere.

Master Harold in his carriage, along with Captain Brisk and a party of guards went for a tour on the outskirts of the city where the shipment of goods had arrived, Master Harold looked over the working of the peasants and ordered the guards to keep watch, while he and the captain mounted on horses and went for exploring in a different direction, after a few miles, they arrived at a campsite, where some workers were carrying some unknown goods.

When the Dukeson had left with just one guard on another way, Arwin thought this was the opportunity, he slipped past under the noses of other guards and followed the the Dukeson and his guard, on the way he took off the royal guard gear and on the inside was wearing a simple shirt and pants of a worker he dirtied and tore his clothes a little and dirtied his face with mud as well and tied a cloth around his head to cover his hairs.

While the Dukeson was looking into the rest of the camp, Arwin silently mixed up with the other workers carrying sacks on his back, the other workers would hardly care for a new face working there even if they saw one.When the Dukeson made for his way back, Arwin pulled out some sacks and found only grains and pulses in it, he then dug in it and found crystals and other magical items and weaponry of which the workers were unaware.

As Master Harold and the captain were on their way back, they saw a hooded figure wearing a black cloak like jacket,”out of my way you pest”,said Master Harold,the hooded figure drew out his sword,

“I’ll take care of this”said captain brisk, unmounted his horse and tied the leash of the horse to tree branch, Master Harold got back and waited to enjoy the show,the captain drew out his huge sword from his back and both were ready for a duel

“you fool, do you have any idea against whom you have drawn your blade”,said the captain

The captain made the first move with a full swing,Arwin blocked the attack with his sword but was pushed back due to the massive sword, the captain started with continuous blow one after another which was for a disadvantage for Arwin, it wasn’t possible for him to do an equal level combat with such different swords, all he could manage was to deflect the direction of the blows with his sword, he dodged a massive blow when the huge sword hit the ground Arwin stepped on the sword and plunged forward and struck the captain’s chin with his elbow, the captain was for tough for such an attack he caught a grip of Arwin’s clothes of threw him to the ground which pulled back his hood,

“you fucking traitor,you die now!”said Brisk, Arwin remained silent and concentrated at his task.

The captain made for another attack, Arwin focused his magical energy into his sword, the blade of his sword started glowing green, he blocked the attack this time and made a successful counterattack, he was now dueling with Brisk equally, Brisk made a ground swipe with his sword, Arwin jumped into the air onto the tree branch he launched himself downwards using the branch as foot hold and made for a strike from above , brisk pulled his sword and a swing upwards towards his vulnerable opponent in mid-air, Arwin blocked the attack which threw him few yards away and knocked away the sword from his hand which flew all the way and stuck into a tree branch, the huge sword had slashed his hand around the wrist, without wasting another moment Brisk made for the finishing blow,Arwin caught the huge sword between his hands with his blood running down the sword’s blade, mage circles had appeared around his palms and silver colored energy was flowing through his hands providing the strength to hold the blade,as Arwin was struggling with the blade in his hands he concentrated on the blade, another white colored mage circle appeared at the tip of the blade and it shattered into pieces,

The captain stepped back in shock,”what trickery is this!!,.... you are a fucking mage!!”yelled Brisk,Arwin swiftly stepped in front with his palm outstretched,a yellow mage circle appeared at the chest of the captain which threw him behind and knocked him into a tree, Arwin stretched out his left hand his sword came flying into his hand, as soon as the sword landed in his palm the sword bursted into black colored lightning with the blade glowing green, he struck the captain with his sword, piercing through the man into the tree’s trunk painting the brown tree and the ground beneath into red.

When the Dukeson saw his guard fall, he panicked and fled on his horse towards safety, as Master Harold was going through the woods a kick landed right into his face from above throwing him off his horse as it ran ahead,the Dukeson saw himself on ground in front of the his assailant holding the blade stained red with the blood of his guard. Arwin knocked his target into the tree,

“no wait,....what are you.... stop.... stop!!”the Dukeson started blabbering as he saw his death infront of him, Arwin covered his target’s mouth and sank his blade into his neck to the torso.As the man lay dead infront of him, Arwin closed the dead man’s eyes, he pulled his hood on his head and disappeared without a trace.

“so you tricked me into doing your guild’s dirty job”, said Arwin.

“alright i’ll explain myself. Like you i also have magical powers i see visions of people who might have any involvement with me direct or indirect, about a months ago i saw a vision of a young noble making illegal transactions of magical resources, the young Harold was carrying out this illegal business under his father’s nose to profit himself with it, as the main business of the household would fall in the hands of his brothers.However he was supplying these goods to guilds with whom we are not on good terms, this will ultimately hold threat to us”,explained Eriana

“then why din’t you carry out actions on your own?” questioned Arwin ,

“that’s because these transactions were was carried out in secret, we guild mages cannot interfere with the matters of nobles, when i told master about this he requested for an investigation at the counsel but the request was turned down due to lack of evidence, our only option was to be prepared for it”she said,

“Then why did you asked me to do it, you could have hired someone better than me” he asked,

“few days ago i saw another vision, of a hooded figure killing the young noble and i could only see the green shine in his eyes “

“Well than explain it,....i guess” he said.

“i deeply apologize to you for keeping you in dark about this, but i cannot risk the guild’s security, no one beside you and me knows that i sent you on this quest, not even master.i could not just sit and do nothing about it, yes it was a dirty job of the guild but it had to be carried out for the sake of this guild,.........................................i’l l get you something to eat”
Arwin had the food and was deep in his thoughts

“well you completed your quest you are free on your way”

“well i was thinking may be i’ll stick around here for now”, he said, hearing this made her happy

“by the way, what happened to the transferred guard Saso, did you kill him as well?”she asked

“No, i locked him in his own house and put him under an illusion that he was at a whorehouse”he replied,she bursted into laughter hearing his strategies

After a moment he said,”hey i could have left right now, why did you tell me everything before?”

She replied with a nice smile”i foresaw that you wouldn’t”.
