Ichika will refuse to do the return, unless he watched it... you know how lazy he is and how he don't bother to get involved with useless stuff.
Then again, he might get a grab on idiot ball and went straight to the rental shop ASAP... both option are just as possible, where the first is his normal response, and the second is when the plot call for it, neither are OOC.
