We don't know if the next novel will be the last one or not, but with what has happened in NOT I don't think (and I don't want) the author could write more than one novel.

That come from NOT, everything point to his death but we will have to wait for the next novel to be sure (If he is alive he should go to Las Vegas ASAP, he should be able to make a lot of dollar with the luck he has
