If the referee of COL - ENG can be blamed for one thing it's that he didn't have a line. First he let too much go then he overcompensated with too many yellows, then he went back to stopping almost nothing again. Fact is when the second half started some of the Colombian players participated in HIGHLY questionable acts like the headbutt and some English players then followed suit. Idiots altogether. The missed corner is a mistake but that just happens sometimes.

As for the other match I have been telling my countrymen that Switzerland is NOT a good soccer nation. Some of us already celebrated going against Sweden not realizing that while Sweden isn't the greatest opponent we could have gotten it's certainly not an easy one either, at least for us. We don't have ANYONE who is dangerous for goals, we need seven high-class chances to score when other teams need two. The only time when our forwards decide to actually try to be dangerous is when we're down 0-1 and there are only 15 minutes left to play. There is nobody who can distribute the balls from the middle with great ideas aside from some occasional lucky punches. The only thing that works is our defense. There's a reason why most of our games have at most two goals even against clear underdogs.

Long story short Switzerland didn't deserve to advance. Sweden didn't really either but at least they hit the goal from time to time.
