On that I can definitely recall, my irritation evolved into empathy over time. Mihoshi makes Shinji Ikari look like Kamina, on that I won't disagree - when it comes to emotion Lag Seeing is a comparative stoic next to Mihoshi. Yes, he cries a lot and has the worst self-image you've ever seen. But somehow - whether his development of the viewer's - I think it becomes more endearing if you stick it out.
