The tag-teams were a good choice. One pair to go in, and another to act as reserve/back-up. Sumeragi may not want to put all 4 in range of whatever weaponry the enemy has so separating them at the start was a good choice. I'm just puzzled why none of them thought of staying together when they were retreating (kyrios/dynames both had hours to regroup, and Exia/Virtue separated)
