No, Reki's staying solely because of it's too dangerous for anyone to be by themselves alone. Friendship doesn't factor into this.
And yeah, the last time Aria's mother was mentioned in the LNs 5 Volumes ago she's still in jail >.>

1) No, he didn't. Vol12 ended right before Kinji was about to be fried by a point blank laser-eye beam by Wukong.
2) Went back to Hong Kong. Thinking about becoming a Butei again just to try and reconnect with Kinji.
