Isn't that the reason why the special MH3rd edition PSP is supplied with the extended battery?
Honestly games such as PSO and MH shoudn't be on handhelds in the first place, but the ps2 and wii proves that these game just don't sell that great on home consoles anymore, blame it on monthly fees or not being able to socialise with people in a group.
If anything, the psp proves that 3h is more than enough for a gaming session, besides the 3ds powersupply/charger works without the cradle. In the end the games will probably decide if the 3ds will succeed or not. I reckon the majourity of people won't get the system for games with high demanding processing power, but will get game such as mario (2d), meaning battery life will probably run, for most people, a bit longer than we might expect.
