I would speculate Alicia wants Riful to save Beth or at least pull that rod out. Whether or not Beth still has control or Alicia is aware of the situation (they are identical twins after all and they should care about each other regardless of their training because of the trust they have to have in each other) is unknown. The Ghosts might be a better choice to save or heal A&B since Cynthia is their med tech and Clare does have experience aligning her yoki and bringing Claymores back from an awakened state, which seems to be a form of 'soul link'. Too much carnage going on and people are trying to survive at this point, so anything can and will probably happen in future chapters.
