Neuro ran for 4 years, with 2 major story arcs. Korosroom could do something similar as well.
Besides, it's good that a series is sticking to its premise, as long as the story is aware of how to close the loop... It would be a bit anti-climatic if after a year, Koro-sensei decides to extend his term and not blow Earth instead.
