vs Ikaruga, I'll accept Erza's comeback as a redirection of focus, because that is indeed a valid point (although going from getting beaten around to complete domination was too abrupt a change).

Kyouka did jack **** to take advantage of Erza's senses being gone. She didn't run around the room, she didn't try and throw completely undetectable columns at Erza, she just kind of stood in place, or where Erza knocked her to, and attacked directly.
That is retarded on so many levels that I don't even want to analyze it. Going by reflexes alone, Kyouka had this fight. Not to mention that after one solid hit, Erza should have fainted many times over - she's still human. Also, Erza hitting in Kyouka's general direction was met with impossible accuracy...she wasn't fighting against a giant.

So the pain gives her a sense of touch, and if she get sense Kyouka, she has a serviceable replacement for her sight.
Even assuming Erza had some uncanny tracking sense, pain and touch are fundamentally different, even more so when pain is accompanied by a numbing feeling. Forget about holding a sword, Erza shouldn't be able to stand up in the first place, regardless of her tolerance to pain. When the nerves in her body get stimulated, especially to THAT extent, they are bound to overload, making her unable to allocate strength to her muscles. Even if Mashima gives her a divine body later on, this was just bad.
