After some experimenting I managed to duplicate the problem, but I can't seem to figure out a way to correct it within one line. As a result I came up with this, it's not pretty (especially since every syllable becomes a new line and has to be positioned manually) but it seems to work:

It's not the prettiest solution to the problem, but for the moment it's the only one I can come up with.
