Im getting kinda annoyed at people who think Tatsuya is some kind of robot except in regards to Miyuki. He can enjoy activities like working with CADs, hanging out with his friends, etc. He just doesn't show it because of his training and his distrust of other's intentions.
The surgery only keeps him from feeling the stronger emotions. Sort of an enforced stoicism.
