How could AL have killed the Uchiha clan? It's the strongest and most feared clan. Only Itachi was able to defeat the clan, because he is one of them. Itachi have always been a bad guy, even when he pretend to be nice, and he predicted the Uchiha clan would get killed by him, so there's actually no doubt it was Itachi who eventually did it.
