Spoiler for Response:

Ok, THAT seems... remarkably unfair to me. Which might be appropriate, I guess? Explanation in the spoiler.

How? We have two entire canon episodes presented pretty much entirely in that format.

I have been given a very strong impression on this board that 'who wrote what and who is narrating what' is one of the mysteries of Redaction, something we're supposed to figure out and be able to figure out.

You were mistaken.
Well, I should clarify. Understanding who writes what is worth knowing, but you should understand that the goal was to understand the author of the Forgery. The 1996 segment was a direct text dump of their thoughts and mind, with some fantasy, and was not penned by anyone.

In that case, Andy's motive confuses me. He says he's defending the red solution 'because she wrote it'. In context, I took that to mean he was defending Sarah's creation because Sarah is important to him somehow. Sarah wrote the forgery up until the point where Andy says 'This is the end of the forgery'. But if this is about RENALL's writing then...
|
Well, it's kinda both. Meta-shenanigans, like how Featherine represented Toya and Ryukishi in a weird overlap. Renall's work is defined as a Tragedy in a sense, but you're right in that Andy's motive is protecting Sarah's truth.
Quote:
Renall, are you a woman? No one knows on the internet unless you spell it out, so I'll mention I'm a (fairly obtuse when it comes to people) guy just to be fair. Is Sarah some kind of self-insert character for you? I feel bad for you now. I can't even imagine living through that kind of madness. I guess I've had a pretty sheltered life...
|
Nooooo no no no no no no no. Sarah is not Renall in any way. At all.
