It is so. That contrast of uplifting music and despairing lyrics is one of the key marks of Higurashi songs. Which blends quite well with ML. There was a video using Paradise Lost from Gai-rei, but it was taken down.

I wish it were too. Unfortunately knowing Age we will have a new OP for the VN, going the way ML and MLA have 4 different OPs for the different versions. Just hope they rotate the OPs like they did for the All-Age release of MLA.
