Which makes perfect sense (as stated in the other thread), since we see her reading "The Fall of Hyperion" in Ep2, and she gives Kyon a copy of "Hyperion" (IMO, that
sure looks like the Japanese version of Hyperion) in EP3. In EP3 she's reading a different book, but I have no idea what that one is (but that's rather Off-topic for this thread).
(I'm quoting information from the Anime as, thus far, the Anime has been very spot on... at least, according to people who have actually read the novels ^^:;)
