Reasoning for missing Kuroneko(Assuming it's Kanako end): Kyosuke and Kuroneko had a such a big falling out that he never wanted to remember her.
Reasoning for missing Kanako(Assuming it's Kuroneko end): Minor character.
Personally I'm hoping it's Kanako end, since usually authors would write other characters he had no chance of writing for non-canon ends since it does not affect anything. Why would you write a Kuroneko end for an extra story if you're going to write a Kuroneko end in the main canon storyline? That's the mentality I'm hoping he will be taking.
