Tonight I started re-watching the series on Crunchyroll. I didn't watch their version the first time around. I found myself being struck all over again by what an exceptional character Erin is - intelligent and inquisitive without being an annoying, stereotypical precocious whiz-kid. She doesn't know everything instantly. She has to put all the clues together in her head in order to figure things out. That's all too rare.
I also noticed how tired and sad Soyon look, and just like Erin, it's right from the beginning. She has probably already made up her mind to do what she's going to do.
