I agree on this, but Hayate leaving Nagi just like that would go against the story. The only way I can see him no longer being Nagi's butler would be if Nagi no longer needs him (i.e. she matures a bit, and for no reason, she's no longer the target of criminals). All the same, I do not really see this happening.
