Maybe Lucy's dad volunteered as a test subject and got an instant beard as a side-effect of a forbidden potion mix:O I heard some people get passionate gazes and/or rivalry impulses...

Anyway, the episode was really nice, we finally see Lucy being less Natsu-depended than usual, although she was still begging for a job, and the father comeback was nice...did we ever get his name btw? The ending was good, looks like the next arc is about to kick in!
