(according to first manga chapter Layfon was banished by the majesty (and she took his sword away) becouse he lost a fight....so he decided to leave the town...but nothing about that girl)

Spoiler for Missing Mail prologue:

i highly doubt that. in the prologue layfon states her majesty banished him from grendan. they don't give us a reason on why she banned layfon. and no, he didn't decide. he had no choice but to leave. you have to also keep in mind Missing Mail tells a different story of layfon. they changed his personality completely 360 and how the events around him change from the novel. i'm sure they'll explain his past more thoroughly in the anime.

and chapter one says he made one mistake as a martial artist that forced him to leave. they don't give us any more information than what happened.
