I really like the (relative) change in direction this season has taken so far. The episodes and the situations feel a lot more personal and connecting than the moe oversaturation of the first season. Personally I think I've seen more character development for Ritsu this episode than the entire first season combined. Having a burnout of something you enjoy is sort of expected from everyone at some point, but in the end you always go back to the things you love. Watching this episode it really becomes clear why the drums is the picture perfect instrument for Ritsu.
I still say she needs to lose the hairband. The first bonus episode shows just how she looks without it and most of us are in agreement she looks a prettier (more mature?
) with her bangs down.
