That was my thought, well, release Ryner and more or less force Ryner to work for him (which seems to be where all those ancient relics come in, if they find them great, could probably use them as symbols to gain more support from the commoners, if not it's still a job the Alpha Stimga is going to do best and Sion can sorta kinda keep an eye on Ryner at the same time). But there was a scene or two in the trailers which makes me think it's not going to be nearly this straight forward....
And I just realized that "Alpha Stigma" literally means "the first (or sometimes the greatest) mark of disgrace" which I suppose refers to his eyes (plus, if it's truly the greatest mark of disgrace then it would explain why everyone seems to know why glowing eyes are bad news).
