Hm.. Shouldn't be any reason why you can't block ICMP. You shouldn't need to block telnet unless you know what's going on with it. Is someone attacking you?

For your ICMP, you should be able to go to some sort of packet filtering menu or configuration and set it's IP rante to 0.0.0.0 and destination to 0.0.0.0 from your WAN port and it'll stop those stupid robots and scripts from pinging you.

You should never block your port 80, it's essential to browsing the net.

Also, if you haven't done so, you should probably update the firmware on your router. There may be bug fixes that can make it more robust and may fix some bugs or problems you may be having.
