Been a while since we've seen Hachiken this disturbed. Things have gone pretty well and he's been able to help others with their problems. But here started to have those feelings he had back in his own school coming back. Everyone cheerfully discussing their accomplishments on the jumps while he's left unable to do it. Doesn't help that just about anyone else can do it on the same horse.

Maybe it's important that Hachiken overcomes this with that horse, but no sure if that'll happen before he kind of snaps. This failure is really stressing him out.

I'm surprised he hasn't snapped already with his worrying over Aki compounding over his self-confidence issues. Where did that worry all go anyway? Its passing seems almost sudden.

Also, Arakawa's really stringing us along here. I was fully expecting an explanation from Komaba and Aki after seeing the end of last chapter, and Arakawa's just dragging on and avoiding this inevitable explanation. Whatever event that finally brings this forth, it better be epic.

(Where is my Hachiken x Yoshino? That stuff was fantastic.)
