Lutecia had just had Miranda die in her arms, bleeding out all over her, because she took a hit because Lutecia wasn't cold enough to cut down a child soldier, and her dying wish was for Lutecia to give Kel the gift Miranda had gotten for him...and he turned it down and gave it back to her.

...Though he had perfectly valid emotional reasons of his own, and he didn't know half of what it was doing to Lutecia (darned NSIS operational security and all that), I still wanted Vivio to Strike Arts his face out the back side of his skull.

Actually, if I remember right, the child in question wasn't a soldier, but an innocent kid who took a shortcut to get home early and walked in on a scene he wasn't expecting. Which is... actually worse than the child soldier idea, really.

Eh, well.... damn, I didn't think the short gave off that vibe. But, all I really can say that it's one thing to get rid of a key chain, and another thing to give away a cat. Unless the cat was brought back to Lutecia, but then I might have to consider editing the Shadowverse timeline a bit, and doing it for a cat doesn't seem worth it.
