They seem to have gone with softer voices for nearly everyone in Brotherhood.
A shame in this case, cause I felt Saiga's Ross was perfect.

How could they skip it? It's his character's introduction. They'll probably skip some of the dialogue (mostly Lust's speech on Lior's destruction) but the scene itself better still be there.
