Elfen Lied was based on a tortured girl who had the instinctive urge to murder everything in her way as bloody and horribly as possible. Elfen Lied is nothing like Code Geass. if you watch stuff just for the blood and action, Code Geass isn't really up your alley. Something like Hellsing would work out fine.
