I think I'm with the majority when thinking that he is using Noe as a stepping stone in finding happiness for Noe. As long as Shin keeps his end of the bargin, he will be willing to do anything because he "loves" Noe. This doesn't mean he is a bad guy at all, but it does make me think why he is going to the extent that he is. Here comes my old theory that Jun may feel that he is falling for Noe instead...
