You could just write those off as info about C.C. and showing she isn't coldhearted. It doesn't have to be romantic or indicate as such.
That's one example, though perhaps not the best considering how it ended.
I don't know how many have done that. I don't think they'll cast Kallen aside and comments indicate the exact opposite.
