Yes, there's a manga but I haven't read it so I can't tell how good or bad it is.
As for whether you'd watch it or not... well, I think it mostly depends on how easily entertained you are.
It's not a great show by any means. But it's deliciously retro (it's like something out of the late '90s or early '00s!), the character design is pretty, the voice-acting is good, and while story-wise it's been pretty meh for the first 8-9 episodes, the last two episodes were surprisingly strong, and apparently there's even a plot which will be hopefully explored in S2.
