Because if you mean that one sentence where she said "if she hadn't been born that tragedy wouldn't have happened" it's not blaming Maria, it's stating a fact. "I had a best friend, I loved her dearly. She almost died when she was born. Ironically, if she
had died, that tragedy wouldn't have happened."
