I can't blame people who don't like the ending because the meta elements really hit hard on 2 very specific aspects:
1) the ending implies DR1 and DR2 are "fictional" within DR setup, which is hard to stomach for a lot of people. Sure, it is obvious all the stuff with Junko and kibougamine couldn't even reasonably happen IRL, but they do happen within its own premise. DRV3 "implies" it is fictional within the game universe, which "nullify" them completely if you trust Tsugumi's revelations.
2) it "openly criticizes" the audience for not caring about the characters and just want more killing. This is obviously not true, but the criticizm towards in-game audience can hit home.
And frankly, I'm pretty sure Kodaka did that on purpose considering the narrative, hence why it isn't surprising a lot of fans aren't really satisfied by that ending. As such, he is also at fault for that matter, but he assumes it. That's why he outright told during cons and interviews that he realize full well that DRV3 will make (some) fans hating his guts.
Spoiler for Chapter 6:
Let me get straight: I'm pretty certain she lied on a lot of points at the end, and this is probably one of them too.
Simply put, it is extremely unlikely a "peaceful world, void of Despair" would be appealed by that kind of game. Furthermore, Tsugumi is not Junko, so her plan is definitely not as "foolprouf" as the real Junko.
The most obvious evidence of that decrepency between the two masterminds is purely how she tried to portray the students as "fanboys/fangirls who wanted to take part of the killing game". This is proven false if you compare the real prologue and their "memories". Tsumugi used interviews to prove that they were freaks, but conveniently, the camera angle is quite weird, not facing them but recording from above. Because of this, it wouldn't be surprising that she cosplayed as them (since their original clothes were probably retrieved by her) and pretended that. I don't believe one second her allergy is genuine and considering how whacky the technology and stuff is in DRV3, having some artificial means to generate hive breakout is more plausible than nano-sized monokubs with camera.
Also, the prologue demonstrate that Rantaro had an idea immediately after noticing they were 16, and Kaede was shocked when she heard the name "Monokubs".
So that pretty much proves the kids were actually kidnapped, and invalidate the premise of "they were DR freaks". Because of this, we can conclude the public watching the games are either fake (unlikely) or much less numerous than what Tsugumi was implying.
Because of this cascade of lies, there is absolutely no evidence backing Tsugumi's words that DR1 and DR2 are fiction. If anything, the ending suggests heavily that both existed, which also explains Tsugumi frantic attempts to copy that. Because of this, it is very likely that Tsugumi was part of the remnants of despair, or some individual that was pretty close to that.
That's exactly what I implied with the concept of chap 6though.

All the other Danganronpa games costs half as much and from what I read on steam have about the same amount of voiceover.

Just try it for yourself and decide if you should claim a refund within the allowed timeframe you can do that.
