There will always be detractors... in all sorts of shapes and sizes. There was plenty of snide remarks when Kanon first aired as well, and look how many of them either converted or ate their words.
It is practically part and parcel of anime-watching already.
If people want to pour scorn on CLANNAD, let them be. I just want to watch it.
