Some things are meant to be displayed...Is a teacup? That's questionable, but I've always been more concerned about the purchase, rather then displaying them. For instance, half of my figures are still in their boxes. I think of a purchase as supporting the character, which helps to support the industry, and shows the character has not yet exceeded their worth. And a lot of merchandise from popular characters tend to rise dramatically after it becomes 'out of print'. Chances are, I wont ever sell the merchandise I care about, but it's nice to know I can sell them for more than their original worth when still sealed and in mint condition.
