A great set up. The more and more I hear about the Abyss, the more and more, I get the same feelings that I got reading Journey to the Center of the Earth or seeing the movie, King Solomon's Mines.

But like the person who left the clues and messages in Verne's classic, I have a feeling that Riko's mom too, is long dead. I actually wasn't mad at Nat at all for saying what he did, as I would have probably said the same thing in an effort to knock some since into my idiot, naive friend. His words were kind of exactly what I was thinking.

However, we all knew they would go down anyway, so let's see where it takes them. I'm interested in seeing all these new lands.

I was afraid though for the little baby kid. Him saying that he was always sleepy recently, and it was his birthday soon, scares me. And also, something is up with tall these skeletons "in prayer". Something really not right here.
